Each morning as students are preparing to begin their day of study, the Principal greets the students over the intercom and leads the entire school in daily prayer. At the end of each day, just prior to carpool, the Principal invites the children into prayer again to close the day in thanksgiving to God. The prayers which we use each day may be found in the spiritual life section of the website. By ordering the day with prayer, we have found that the students are mentally and spiritually ready to learn and that their daily work is then dedicated to the Glory of God. Oftentimes, the quiet prayerful time at the end of the day helps children transition well into carpool and back into family life.
O Jesus, through the Immaculate Heart of Mary,
I offer you my prayers, works, joys, and suffering of this day in union with the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass throughout the world.
I offer them for all the intentions of Your Sacred Heart: the salvation of souls, reparation for sins, the reunion of all Christians;
I offer them for the intentions of our Bishops and of all Apostles of Prayer and in particular for those recommended by our Holy Father this month.
Amen.
Oh my God,
I Love you above all things,
with my whole heart and soul,
because You are all good
and worthy of all love.
I love my neighbor as myself
for the love of You.
I forgive all who have injured me,
and I ask pardon of all whom I have injured. Amen.
The Angel of the Lord declared unto Mary, and she conceived of the Holy Spirit.
Hail, Mary...
Behold the handmaid of the Lord, be it done unto me according to thy word.
Hail, Mary...
And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us.
Hail, Mary...
Pray for us, O Holy Mother of God, that we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.
Let us Pray: Pour forth we beseech thee, O Lord, thy grace into our hearts, that we to whom the Incarnation of Christ, thy Son, was made known by the message of an angel, may be brought by his Passion and Cross to the glory of the Resurrection, through the same Christ our Lord. Amen.
