Mrs. Sutphen was born in Ankara, Turkey while her dad was serving in the Air Force but has lived in Wake Forest and been a parishioner at St. Catherine’s for over 20 years. Before moving to North Carolina, she lived in many different areas of Mississippi and Louisiana. She graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from North Carolina Central University.  Mrs. Sutphen and her husband, Mike, have 2 grown children, both of whom attended St. Catherine of Siena in their younger years.
