Mrs. Maureen Fortin has been involved with the parish since 2004. Prior to becoming a Lead Teacher in the Prek program, Mrs. Fortin was an active volunteer in the school for 16 years as a substitute teacher, room mom, PTO Board Member, and parent volunteer. All three of her children attended St. Catherine’s from preschool through 8th grade, so our school and parish are like her second family.
Mrs. Fortin is certified through North Carolina in Early Childhood Education. Her goal is to teach our youngest students in a positive and faith-filled fun environment. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in Communications/Advertising and Public Relation, handling multiple tasks in a professional manner while setting and meeting goals, all things relevant and needed in a classroom setting.
Mrs. Fortin is still very active in her childrens’ schools and our community, serving on the high school PTSA Board, Chorus Program Board, and Theatre Boosters. In her free time, she likes to craft, sew, make jewelry with her daughter, and take care of her spoiled dogs.
