Dr. Corvo possesses undergraduate degrees in Physics and Electrical Engineering, Master’s degrees in Computer Science and Mathematics Teaching, and a PhD in Science Education. He is a K-12 certified teacher in Physical Sciences and Mathematics. Prior to teaching, Dr. Corvo worked as a design engineer and engineering manager at Bell Laboratories for 24 years where he coached multi-disciplinary engineering teams on the design and development of cellular, small business, and emergency 911 telecommunications systems. Over the past six years, Dr. Corvo was a visiting affiliate professor in mathematics methods for elementary education majors at Loyola University in Maryland and an assistant professor in mathematics and science methods for middle and secondary education majors at Saint Joseph’s College of New York.
He and his wife moved to North Carolina from the New York/New Jersey area this past year and they have three grown children. He enjoys playing golf, bicycling, and hiking.
