The Saint Catherine of Siena School Parent Volunteer Program supports the work of the school in various academic, extracurricular, and fundraising activities. The opportunities are virtually limitless; there are many jobs to be filled, and help is needed in filling gaps not only in established positions but also in offering suggestions for new areas. The school relies on the help of volunteers. The teachers, staff, parents, and especially students are grateful for the generous amount of volunteer time given each year. Please see the Parent Handbook for the Volunteer Guidelines.
If you are a new volunteer, working with children or youth in the parish or school, you must be background checked through the Diocese of Raleigh and attend the single-session workshop titled Safe Environment Training in order to be allowed to volunteer. You may contact the school office to find more information and a current schedule of training dates and times.
When you arrive to volunteer, please be sure to always stop in the Office to sign the Volunteer Sign-In Sheet in order to keep track of your hours.
Volunteer opportunities include classroom and office assistance, lunch room and recess monitoring, carpool assistance, fundraising, Annual Fun Run, support in coordinating Catholic School's Week, providing for our Lenten Soup Suppers, preparation for the St. Joseph's Altar, preparing for a beautiful St. Catherine of Siena Feast Day, support for the preparation of a most Holy First Communion, assisting in coordinating our annual Arts and Eats Night Out, and many, many more!
Help from our volunteers is very much appreciated. Together great things happen!
