Saint Catherine of Siena Catholic School began in 1997 when the parish family moved from the old stone church on South Main Street to the current 43-acre campus located at 520 West Holding Avenue. Under the direction of Father Richard Turner and Mrs. Jane Haga, the founder and first principal of the school, the school progressively added grades and currently boasts an accredited pre-K-8th grade Catholic School.
In 1997, the school used eight classrooms in the multipurpose building and focused first on excellence in early childhood education. Gradually, as our church family grew, the school continued to expand, and in 2003, under the leadership of Fr. Bob Kus, the school opened the new Trinity Center. This new building provided a wonderful addition to our campus plan with more room for our expanding school and growing students. In 2005, the school added six new classrooms and expanded its play areas to include the lower fields and outdoor basketball.
In 2013, as our church family celebrated the opening of a traditional Catholic church in the center of our campus, the school family, gained a new secure playground, soccer fields, a newly installed Mac-lab and a converted sanctuary for musical performances and indoor gym classes.
For the 2021-2022 school year, due to the demand, the school added a second PreK 4 class, kindergarten and a first grade. The start of the 2022-2023 school year saw the addition of our second, second grade class. Each year moving forward the school will continue to add a second class until there are two classes per grade, PreK - 8th grade.
We welcome your family to be a part of ours and to participate in the exciting history to come.
