    • Re-registration paperwork will be sent home on Tuesday, January 7. It is important that current families register by the deadline. Many classes are at capacity. 
• Open Registration for New Students
  • Monday, December 2, 2025 at 8:00 am    
    • Applications will be available online beginning Monday, December 2, 2024. Application will be processed in the order they are received. Admission is subject to space availability and the school's admission policy. New applicants will be notified within two days of receipt of their application regarding seat availability for the class they are applying to. Please note that this notification is not an acceptance. Once a completed application has been submitted, along with academic records and the confidential teacher recommendation form from the applicant's previous school, an assessment will be scheduled. 

Financial Aid - Deadlines

• NC Opportunity Scholarship (K-8th Gr) - Administered through the State of NC
  • Application Period Begins February 1, 2025
  • Priority Deadline March 1, 2025       
    • The Opportunity Scholarship Program provides tuition assistance of up to $7,123 per year for awarded students who enroll in a non-public school. This program is income based. The maximum household gross income has increased, allowing for more eligible families. 
• FACTS Tuition Assistance (K-8th Gr) - Administered through St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church
  • Application Period Begins January 1, 2025
  • Application Deadline March 15, 2025      
    • The FACTS Grant and Aid program is used to help determine if a student may qualify for tuition assistance based on financial need through the Parish and School.
• African American & Native American Ancestry (Preschool - 8 Gr) - Administered through the Diocese of Raleigh
  • Application Period Begins January 1, 2025
  • Application Deadline March 15, 2025      
    • Catholic school students (PreK - 12th Grade) of African and Native American Ancestry in the Diocese of Raleigh are eligible to apply for tuition assistance. The assistance awards come from funds granted to the diocese from the Black and Indian Mission Office founded by the Catholic bishops of the US.

You have our commitment to academic excellence and the assurance of our prayers in the sacred duty of the formation of young souls for Jesus Christ.

In addition to our commitment to academic excellence, students and parents should consider the intentional environment of spiritual formation that lies at the heart of our teaching. Students will be invited into and have the opportunity to lead daily prayer at the beginning and the end of each school day. Each week, the school community celebrates Mass together and the students participate in the key roles of lector, cantor, choir and usher. Throughout the year, students have the opportunity to engage in community service projects where they gain first-hand experience in the Christian life and our universal call to holiness.

• Send Letter of Release for Student Records to your child’s teacher (transfer students)
• Send Confidential Teacher Recommendation Form to your child’s teacher (transfer students)
• Complete Application for Catholic Parish Affiliation Rate (if applicable)
• Set up your FACTS Tuition Management Account online through the E-Cashier Link at https://factsmgt.com/.
• Submit a copy of Birth Certificate and Baptismal Record (if applicable) to the school office.

All students must apply for admission to St. Catherine of Siena Catholic School and St. Catherine of Siena Preschool.  Admission priority will be given to Catholic children.  We at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic School and Preschool know that a successful school experience occurs when parents give evidence of being:

• supportive of the Catholic Church

• desirous of a strong academic program

• supportive of the child taking responsibility for his/her behavior, self-management and learning

• committed to the programs and activities that support the school

Registration forms for all currently enrolled students are due in February, at which time available space will be determined and admission offered to newly evaluated applicants. Applicants will be accepted on the following basis:

1. St. Catherine’s is a parish school. Children of registered parish families, who meet the admission criteria, will be given first consideration.

2. Catholics out-of-parish will be given next consideration.

3. If space is available, any other applicant will be given consideration.

The Principal will interview the families of the prospective student(s) to determine the commitment of parents and student(s) and the ability of the school to meet the individual needs of the candidate.  

As a private school, the teaching-learning environment may not be designed to accommodate the needs of all children. St. Catherine of Siena School does not have specialized facilities or personnel to work with students who have significant learning differences. St. Catherine of Siena School will evaluate students with learning differences on a case-by-case basis with respect to the School's ability to provide those students a quality education. St. Catherine of Siena School reserves the right to deny enrollment to a student if the School determines, at its sole discretion, that it cannot adequately serve the needs of the candidate.

New students will be on probation for the first 30 days of school.  Sixth and seventh grade students must maintain a 2.0 grade point average to remain enrolled at St. Catherine of Siena. Students who do not meet academic and behavioral expectations as determined by the school administration will be asked to seek other educational situations and will not be permitted to remain at St. Catherine of Siena School beyond a reasonable period of time to transition to another educational situation.

Admission Requirements:

Age

• Preschool: for PreK 4 the student must be four (4) years old on or before August 31 of that year.
• Kindergarten: the student must be five (5) years old on or before August 31 of that year.

Applications 
Applications for Preschool through seventh grade are accepted throughout the school year based on availability. Parents may pick up an application at the school office or download the appropriate form from the website.  Eighth grade students wishing to seek admission must be moving from out of state and have attended a Catholic School for at least the previous school year. All of admissions requirements must also be met.

Academic Readiness
All prospective students are tested for academic and social readiness. This is determined by grade level results on placement/screening test given by the school, previous school performance as indicated by past report cards or formal progress reports and teacher recommendation form.
